Student Senate Meeting Minutes
January 17, 2023

Meeting called to order by President Sophia O’Neil at 6:30 p.m.

Special Request: BSA
BSA is planning on going to Saint Cloud to attend power and diversity conference, will allow students to gain skills such as advocacy, community, organization, self reflection, can earn badges to put on resumes and there will be a diversity and internship fair to attend.

Requesting 6 individual registration fees for 6 students to go on the trip and mileage.
BSA will figure out covering their advisor, hotel, and workshop fees to participate in earning badges from their budget.

Club budgets and capital improvements coming up.
Racquetball courts are going to be cleaned.
Water concern in SLC is being looked into.
Parking situation in the orange lot is being looked at in terms of coordination.
Admissions resolution is still getting passed to marketing, it will happen.

Riley and I are working on the capital improvements submissions and I plan to email and update you all within the next couple weeks.

Friday’s home women’s hockey game is mental health awareness with Green Bandana.
SAC event in the makerspace next week, more details to come.
