Congratulations to the Saint Mary’s University softball team (33-3) for securing back-to-back MIAC Regular Season championships, capping off a flawless 18-0 conference record with a sweep of Macalester yesterday to clinch the title.
Currently ranked 13th in the nation, the Cardinals are riding an impressive 23-game winning streak—their second-longest in program history, behind a 33-game run in 1998. With their regular season title, Saint Mary’s will officially serve as host for the MIAC Conference Championships, set for May 10. The Cardinals will enter the tournament as the No. 1 seed, with game times and opponents to be announced soon.
