The Office of Admission is buckling up for a busy Spring travel season, working hard to recruit students and to promote Saint Mary’s to high schools in and around the Midwest.

Recent recruiting trips include: Catholic high schools in Illinois and Iowa, high school fairs in Wisconsin and across the state of Minnesota. In the next few weeks, counselors will continue to attend college and high school fairs, facilitate admission presentations in high schools and assist with off-campus and on-campus admission events.

Counselors continue to build close relationships with local schools by offering application support, on campus meetings with students and facilitating admission presentations such as the February 21st financial aid presentation at Cotter High School for prospective students who were eager to learn more about Saint Mary’s University’s value and affordability.

Additionally, the undergraduate admission team continues to welcome prospective students and their families to campus for admission visits and campus tours. These individual, personalized visits allow prospective students to meet with faculty, tour campus, and connect directly with an admission counselor. Counselors are also connecting virtually with students in order to capture a wider audience of students across different states.

The Office of Admission is hosting a series of upcoming on-campus events including a Junior Open House on Friday, March 11th. This event supports juniors in high school in preparing for their senior year. Additionally, Admitted Student Day events are scheduled for March 19th and April 2nd to celebrate the incoming class of 2026. As things continue to safely open up, Admission counselors are excited to recruit in-person at high schools, attend college fairs and continue to welcome prospective students to campus.
