COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Clinic: Winona Campus

Last semester, if you were fully vaccinated (had received two doses of Moderna or Pfizer or one dose of J & J), you were not required to quarantine when you were identified as a close contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19. Our new protocols for quarantine, based on guidance from the CDC and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), will now require everyone to quarantine for 5 days and mask for 5 days if they are either unvaccinated or have only two doses of Moderna or Pfizer or one dose of J & J and have not received a booster.

Under our new guidance, only individuals who have received two doses of Moderna or Pfizer or one dose of J & J and have a COVID-19 booster are exempt from quarantine if they are a close contact. You would still be required to mask for 10 days under the new protocols, but you would not have to quarantine. (Employees who have had a documented case of COVID-19 are still exempt from quarantine for 90 days from the date of their test.)

For your convenience, the university has partnered with Hy-Vee to bring a COVID-19 booster shot clinic to campus on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, in the gym lobby. This event is entirely voluntary and is open to students, faculty, and staff.  Slots for the clinic are every 15 minutes beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until 2:00 p.m. Please come to the clinic when your schedule permits.  We encourage you to obtain a COVID-19 vaccine booster if you have not already done so.

When you come to the clinic, please bring an ID and your insurance card, if you have one.  You can also bring your COVID-19 vaccination card, but are not required to do so.  When you arrive, you will be required to sign a consent form for the COVID-19 vaccine booster.

If you have questions, please email covid@smumn.edu.
