Amber (Rajtora) Haschenburger B’01 gave her all on the volleyball court and dedicated herself to becoming the best version of herself every day at Saint Mary’s University.

Her dedication will not go unnoticed, as she is now set to inscribe her name in one final record book—the Hall of Fame.

The Saint Mary’s University Athletic Department, in collaboration with the Saint Mary’s Alumni Association, will induct Haschenburger into the Saint Mary’s Sports Hall of Fame on March 22, 2025, alongside a few familiar faces: Amanda Edmond B’01, Mike Lester (Former Volleyball Coach), Shelley (Haake) Mosquera B’01, and Tony Piscitiello B’69, M’82.

The five will be honored during the Cardinal Excellence Fund Dinner, held in Winona.

“This honor means the world to me,” said Haschenburger. “It’s not just a recognition of my achievements, it’s also a validation of all the hard work, discipline and perseverance I’ve poured into my journey.”

A member of the Cardinals’ 2000 national tournament-qualifying team, Amber Haschenburger finished her Saint Mary’s career as the program’s all-time assist leader with 4,578 assists, including three consecutive seasons with over 1,000 assists.

A First-Team All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection in 2000, Haschenburger ranked fifth in matches played with 127 and was among the top 10 in sets played with 429. She also finished sixth all-time in service attempts (1,352) and 14th in digs (910).

In both 1999 and 2000, Haschenburger played 112 sets, recording 1,302 assists in 1999 (5th all-time) and 1,316 assists in 2000 (4th all-time).

“My team had a special connection and found a way to uplift each other and come together to make incredible things happen.”

“I am thankful for the friendships I formed and the memories on and off the court with everyone on my team.”

It will be a special reunion for Haschenburger as she is welcomed in Winona by two of her former teammates and her former coach this Saturday.
