Have you ever wanted to support a friend who’s struggling but didn’t know what to say? Or have you ever wanted a practical breakdown of how to support your peers who are facing mental health crises or suicidal ideation?
The Green Bandana Project is a student-led mental health awareness initiative that helps break the stigma around mental health. Participants wear or display a green bandana on a backpack, bag, or jacket to show they are a safe, judgment-free person to talk to and direct indidvauls who are struggling to the right resources. It’s a simple signal that says: “You’re not alone, and I’m here to listen.”
