A leader both on and off the court, Amanda Edmond B’01 made her mark in the history books as an outstanding volleyball player in the Saint Mary’s volleyball program, carrying that excellence with her beyond the uniform.

The two-time First-Team All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection will be inducted into the Saint Mary’s Hall of Fame this Saturday, alongside Amber (Rajtora) Haschenburger B’01, Mike Lester (Former Volleyball Coach), Shelley (Haake) Mosquera B’01, and Tony Piscitiello B’69, M’82.

The five will be honored at the Cardinal Excellence Fund Dinner, which will take place in Winona.

Edmond had a historic four-year career with the Saint Mary’s volleyball team, leaving her mark in multiple spots in the Cardinal record books. A member of the 2000 national tournament team, Edmond ranks fourth in career kills with 1,379 and ninth in kills-per-set at 3.10 (3,458 attack attempts).

From the service line, she recorded 228 aces, placing her third in program history. Edmond also accumulated 1,684.5 points (3rd all-time), played in 126 matches (6th all-time), and finished with 1,269 digs (9th all-time).

She is also ranked 10th in single-season aces with 67.

Saint Mary’s is thrilled to welcome back Edmond, a key player on that national tournament team, along with two of her former teammates who are also being inducted, as well as her former coach, making for a truly magical reunion.
