The Xcel Energy Scholarship is provided through the Minnesota Private College Fund and is worth $5,000 for the 23-24 academic year.
Eligibility criteria:
- Demonstrated financial need
- Sophomore or Junior Undergraduate Student Status
- Students identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, person of color)
- Approved majors: Accounting, Communications, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Math, Computer Science, Construction Management, Chemistry
- Attend one of the Minnesota Private Colleges and Universities
- Minnesota resident – home residence must be in Xcel Energy Service Area
**Please note that Xcel Energy staff will be conducting 30-minute interviews with the 20 scholarship finalists. Interviews are mandatory for final selection. Scheduling will take place during mid-October; you will be notified directly if you make it to the interview stage – APPLY NOW.
