Student Academic Support Services is excited to announce that writing services will now report to the Student Success Center. With this transition, Joe Justman has assumed a newly formed position, Associate Director of Student Success and Learning Services, and writing services will report to Justman in this position.

The writing center on the Winona campus will remain on the first floor of Saint Mary’s Hall, room 103.  Writing services on the Minneapolis campus will remain in LaSalle Hall, room 128. Current services will continue, un-interrupted by this transition. If you are interested in learning more about Writing Services at Saint Mary’s, please visit our website: write.smumn.edu

This transition is a result of an effort to conserve resources while breaking down barriers between support services offered on both campuses. With writing services now falling under the broad umbrella of learning services within the Student Success Center, opportunities to cross train student tutoring staff and unify processes for providing services to all our students are the main benefits of this merger.
