Date: Saturday, December 6
Puck Drop: 3:00 PM

Saint Mary’s Women’s Hockey is taking the ice for something bigger Saturday, Dec. 6 as the Cardinals host their Rally for Riley game in support of teammate Riley Vander Esch. Fans are encouraged to wear grey to raise awareness for pediatric brain cancer.

Before puck drop, Riley will take part in a ceremonial puck drop, and throughout the afternoon, several fundraising opportunities will support brain tumor research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. All ticket sales, concessions, Chuck-a-Puck proceeds, and silent auction earnings will directly support the cause. Card reader stations will also be available for direct donations.

In the lobby, the team has set up a silent auction that will run through a simple paper or QR-code bidding system. Winners will complete payment through the official St. Jude donation page and pick up their items on-site once confirmation is shown.

Riley’s story is at the heart of this event. Earlier this fall, she was diagnosed with a diffuse midline glioma (H3 K27), an aggressive brain tumor. As she completes radiation and prepares to begin the promising new treatment ONC201, the Cardinals are rallying behind her strength, courage, and fight.

Join us in standing with Riley, supporting vital research, and showing what it truly means to be a Cardinal on and off the ice.

Together, we play for Riley.
