When Patrick Waddell’s brother entered the seminary, Waddell got his first introduction to being around young priests and seminarians. Just a few years later, he would enter the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary and the Saint Mary’s philosophy program.
Waddell enjoys that Saint Mary’s curriculum highly emphasizes the basis of philosophy as well as its modern applications. He thinks all students would benefit from the courses. “The program doesn’t just tell you what to think, it leads you through the process of doing the philosophy yourself,” he said.
