Saint Mary’s University hosted the second annual Business Intelligence Virtual Summit on Wednesday, October 5. The event held over 90 participants, from prospective to current students and alumni.

Participants at the event learned about innovative, best-practice artificial intelligence and business analytics techniques.  Speakers included members of the Mayo Clinic, the Federal Reserve, IT Consultancy firms, the entertainment industry, and some of the largest distribution and supply chain companies in the United States.

Topics included: cybersecurity sentiment detection, skills necessary for a role in analytics, health care data science, accounting and data science, ethics in data science, data analysis in a business-to-business company, drone technology, and data engineering, data use in multifaceted organizations, organizational leadership, and job jumping, and the transition in industry and mindset.

Alumni speakers included Jakub Koziuk B’15 and Brad Hauser B’17, M’20, and Tara Nagy B’18, who presented on critical analytical skills that a business analyst needs, job jumping, and career panel, respectively. 

The event was organized by Saint Mary’s University’s Master of Science in Business Intelligence program.

Saint Mary’s University has a strong portfolio of analytics programs ranging from business, business, healthcare, supply chain, and artificial intelligence.
