Due to unforeseen family reasons, Dr. Ko will be unable to join Saint Mary’s as previously announced. However, we are delighted to announce Dr. Zoraida Oyola-Rebaza as the incoming Director of Music Programming at the end of the month.
Dr. Zoraida Oyola-Rebaza is an active performer, leader, and educator. She recently served as Assistant Director of Music at St Martin the Porres Catholic Church in Texas where she built up the Spanish choir and an instrumental ensemble to expand the music ministry. She has been faculty at Kirkwood Community College and the Universidad Union. Originally from Lima, Peru, Dr. Oyola- Rebaza holds a doctorate in cello performance from the University of Iowa, a Master of Music from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Music from the Turku University of Applied Sciences in Finland. She is thrilled to join Saint Mary’s University as Director of Music Programming and looks forward to working together with students, faculty, and staff.
