While designed for the business community, in this session, attendees will learn the core capabilities of Gemini, how to build customized Gemini Gems for specialized business tasks, and practical ways to automate routine business processes.

Gemini Gems, similar to custom GPTs in ChatGPT, allow you to create custom, tailored AI assistants built specifically for your repetitive tasks, writing style, and workflow needs. In this quick session, we will cover how to build them from scratch and put them to work immediately for common business needs.

About the Center for Business Analytics:

From the reconfiguration of global supply chains and manufacturing capacities to the exciting developments in artificial intelligence, today’s challenges demand technology skills and competencies that go beyond those of the past.

Supported by a National Science Foundation grant, the center has partnered with universities across the country to develop research initiatives and to support the next generation of business and technology professionals. The center is commited to providing sustainable and consistent educational seminars and workshops to the broader community.

The three main tasks of the Center for Business Analytics are:

  1. Develop a robust, industry-centered workforce pipeline in emerging technologies, benefitting regional employers as well as students who gain experience in high-demand, lucrative fields.

  2. Advance industry-relevant research on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, identified in partnership with industry partners and conducted by Saint Mary’s faculty, including joint research projects with industry and other university partners.

  3. Become a recognized hub for thought leadership and cross-institution collaboration in business analytics and technology.
