Gavan Schulte transferred to Saint Mary’s after a semester at a larger school. He was drawn to Saint Mary’s by its small community and natural beauty. As an avid fisherman and outdoor enthusiast, he knew Winona was a good fit.
A baseball player and business intelligence and analytics major, Schulte hopes to combine his passions by pursuing sports analytics. He believes the connections he has made at Saint Mary’s will help him achieve his goal. “Being able to connect with my teachers closely is huge,” he said. “Coming from (a larger school), I felt like a statistic there. At Saint Mary’s, it’s a tight knit family.”
