Title IX Personnel and Policy Updates

The Office of Title IX has several important updates regarding personnel and policies.

Dr. Marisa Naryka has been appointed as the new Title IX Coordinator replacing Scott Walker, who has served in the role for several years. Thank you for your service, Scott.

Effective August 1, 2024, there are new Title IX regulations replacing the previous set from 2020. Our Title IX policy and procedures have been updated accordingly and can be reviewed here.

Title IX is federal policy that addresses issues of sex-based discrimination and sexual misconduct.

As employees of the university, you are considered mandatory reporters and must report any incidents of Title IX violations to the Title IX Coordinator.

In instances that a student discloses a preganancy or pregnancy-related condition, you are required to refer the student to the Title IX Office to ensure that the student receives the appropriate information and that reasonable accommodations can be made.

Per the new regulations, all employees must receive annual training, which will be forthcoming.
