As finals week wraps up, Cardinals fans have a pair of matchups to circle before the holiday break.
Women’s Basketball Hits the Road
The Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team (8-1, 3-0 MIAC) is set for another one-game week after edging Hamline 54-51 last Wednesday to remain unbeaten in conference play. Riding a seven-game winning streak, the Cardinals continue to turn heads nationally, receiving votes in the national poll for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
Saint Mary’s is pushing toward its first national ranking since the 2014-15 campaign, when the Cardinals climbed as high as No. 17.
This week, the Cardinals travel to Decorah, Iowa, for a nonconference matchup on Friday, Dec. 19, with tipoff scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
Men’s Basketball Returns Home
The Saint Mary’s men’s basketball team (0-10, 0-3 MIAC) will close out the week with its lone home game, wrapping up a stretch of preparation following last Wednesday’s contest against Hamline.
The Cardinals shift into nonconference play by hosting UW-Stout on Saturday, Dec. 20, with a 1:00 p.m. tipoff at home.
Before heading into the break, take a study break and come cheer on your Cardinals, go Cardinals!
