It’s the first full week of spring, and the spring sports season is in full swing this week in Cardinal Athletics.

BASEBALL ON A ROLL

The Saint Mary’s baseball team (9-7) is on fire, currently riding a six-game win streak following a dominant 4-0 weekend series in Illinois. They have another busy week ahead.

This week, the team will host UW-Superior (8-9) on Tuesday for a doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m. to kick off the action. On Wednesday, they’ll travel to face the top-ranked team in the country, UW-Whitewater (8-0), aiming to make some noise.

They’ll wrap up the week back at home on Saturday, opening conference play with a doubleheader against Concordia College (7-6), beginning at 1:00 p.m.

SOFTBALL IS BACK

After a 23-day break from games, the Cardinal softball team (13-3) is back in action. Their last games were in Florida, where they wrapped up a non-conference schedule.

Now, they’ll head to St. Paul to face St. Catherine (7-5) in their first conference doubleheader of the season, starting at 1:00 p.m.

SENIOR DAY FOR TENNIS

It’s been an exciting season for Saint Mary’s tennis teams! While the season isn’t over yet, Saturday marks the Cardinals last home match of the year and the final time the senior players will compete in front of a home crowd.

The Cardinals will host the Hamline Pipers for Senior Day, with the women’s match starting at 1:30 p.m., followed by the men’s match at 4:00 p.m. Head over to the Winona Tennis Center on Saturday to show your support for the Cardinal seniors!

OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD IS UNDERWAY

After a phenomenal indoor season, the Saint Mary’s track and field program is excited to get back in action this week as they kick off the 2025 outdoor season.

The team will head to St. Louis, Missouri, for a long weekend of competition at several high-level meets. They’ll take part in the Washington University Distance Carnival on Thursday and Friday, before some athletes split off to compete in the St. Louis University Billiken Invitational on Saturday.
