It’s a relatively quiet week for Cardinal sports events, but there’s still action to enjoy! The Saint Mary’s tennis teams have a busy weekend ahead, playing at home on both Saturday and Sunday, while the baseball team will also be playing doubleheaders on each day this weekend!
HOME TENNIS
The Cardinal tennis teams spent their spring break in Orlando last week, with each team playing three matches. The women returned from Florida undefeated with a 3-0 record, while the men faced tough competition, finishing the week with a 1-2 record.
This weekend, the team will return to conference play, hosting Concordia College at 1:30 pm on Saturday, March 15th followed by a match against St. Olaf at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 16th.
BASEBALL ROAD SERIES
The baseball team also spent spring break in Florida, playing eight games throughout the week and starting the young season with a 2-6 record.
The Cardinals will head to Iowa for the weekend to play two doubleheaders. On Saturday, March 15th, they’ll face Luther College in a doubleheader starting at 1:00 pm. Then, on Sunday, March 16th, they’ll take on UW-Eau Claire in a doubleheader, also beginning at 1:00 pm, to wrap up the weekend.
