Career Services and the Office of Alumni Engagement would like to thank the students, alumni, staff and representatives from our sponsor, Fastenal for their participation in our 1st Annual Mock Interview Day & Networking Lunch event last Friday, March 11th in Winona.
28 students had the opportunity to participate in 2 – 4 virtual and in-person interviews conducted by our alumni, staff from our graduate programs and a team of interviewers from Human Resources at Fastenal. The event concluded with a networking lunch where students had the opportunity to further connect with the interviewers.
Initial feedback from the event is that students indicate that they:
- Increased their confidence with interviewing
- Feel better prepared for future interviews
- Would participate in the future & recommend that their classmates do the same!
Alumni, staff volunteers, and Fastenal overwhelmingly praised the students in attendance and hope to participate in future opportunities to help them with career and professional development. We hope to have even more of our Saint Mary’s community join us for next year’s event!
