Saint Mary’s students in Dr. Lori Charron’s Intercultural Communication class made new friends from around the world! Eleven International students from Ghana, Turkey, Ecuador, Taiwan, Croatia, Mongolia, and Bangladesh, currently attending Hope High School (Winona), discussed their cultural perspectives on topics ranging from cultural adaptation, race relations, commonalities, stereotypes, to their personal pet peeves. The Hope High School students also ate lunch with SMUMN international students (thank you, Rebecca Vogel) and they had a lot to talk about – and the Hope students loved the dessert choices! Thank you to Hope High School for sharing amazing people with Saint Mary’s University!
