Executive Board Reports

Angel Sacta Espinoza has resigned from his Executive Board position due to personal conflicts. We thank him for his 4 years of service on the student senate and wish him well!

If you are interested in attending the Hendrickson Forum, please contact me so that I can get you the form to sign up.

Senators, please fill out the executive and senator of the year awards as soon as possible so that we can select these recipients. If you do not have access to the form, please let me know so that I can give you access.

Executive board petitions will be due on Tuesday, March 29 at 5:00 p.m. The election will take place on Tuesday, April 5 from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Winners will be announced on Thursday, April 7.

The student senate banquet will be held on Wednesday, April 20 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Toner Lounge. This will be an invitation only event. Senators are expected to attend unless they speak with me.

Senators are expected to pay attention and participate in the Student Senate meetings. With that said, we are accepting of all at our meetings, so the making of faces towards others, including senators, will not be tolerated.

State Senator Miller will be at our April 12 meeting to introduce himself and briefly explain his role.

Campus Ministry Fundraiser
10K Run/Walk is being held on Outdoor Track this Saturday March 26 from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Minimum of donation of $10. First 50 registrants get a free T-shirt and all donations go to the Ukrainian Catholic Church Humanitarian Aid.

I met with Scott, the Saint Mary’s web developer, today and I am now trained and able to update the senate website. If you have anything you want posted or moved around on the website, please let me know.

Elise Roxas is moving along with her freshman class fundraising project and is currently reaching out to Twigz about university tickets.
Seth Peterson and Maddie Wilsey are gathering funds for the sophomore class fundraiser.
Katie Pierpont and Maria Flynn have scheduled their junior class dunk tank fundraiser.
The senior class fundraiser was a success this last weekend for St. Patrick’s Day.

Class Officer Reports
Freshman: Easter basket fundraiser is approved and they are in the process of advertising for it.
Sophomores: Washing machine that isn’t working on the first floor of Hillside.
Juniors: Working with Trisha Dobrient and the activity is being integrated with Plaza Palooza. They are taking suggestions of who should be put in the dunk tank.
Seniors: The senior class will be accepting donations during Casino Night this Friday. They have meetings with Anne and Tim to go over senior week.
