The senate will convene on Jan. 18, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in Salvi Lecture Hall for the start of the second semester. If this changes it will be communicated to the senate.
We have gotten the preliminary estimates for Phase II of the Toner 14 renovation project. We will hopefully have finalized numbers for the first session of the second semester.

Mary Furlong, Vice President of Academic Affairs
I am looking for senators to review the Student Information Systems (SIS) presentations and to give student feedback. This is what we will be using for advising and scheduling so this affects all students. I have video recordings of the presentations, so if you are interested please email me and I will set up a time to get your thoughts on the three options.

Joseph Schauf, Vice President of Financial Affairs
We will have more financial requests after break so look forward to those!

Jonathon Krull, Vice President of Public Affairs
The amendment to the Hunger-Free Campus Law is being worked out, Representative Pelowski is now a co-author on the bill
The Student Advisory Council is meeting next week to work on a letter of support in regards to the amendment
Day at the Capitol will be taking on a new format this year. Due to COVID, the capitol is not open and instead MAPCS and MPCC are working to have each college/university’s local representatives come to each campus instead of the zoom format used last year. More information will come as we get closer.
