Student Senate Meeting Minutes

4/13/26

President Garrett Rotzien called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Por La Cultura Club Special Request: $243

  • This Thursday, the club is looking for money for prizes that will be held at the event. There are a variety of different baskets that students can win.

  • This club is looking for money for new books, book supplies, event materials, transportation for volunteering with elementary students, and snacks for next school year.

  • This club is looking for money for a putting green mat, a used set of left-handed golf clubs, and tees for the simulator.

Nordic Ski Club Budget for 26-27 School Year: $4,980

  • This club is looking for money for their skiing trip to West Yellowstone, trail passes, race fees, registration fees, travel to the events, rental cars, lodging, and flyers for advertising for their trip/club.

Resolution #006: Pool Table Refining & Repair ($1,600) 

  • Student Senate is looking to repair the pool tables in the Toner Game Room in May. This will help the pool tables stay in good condition.

JJ Garcia, Vice President of Multicultural Affairs

  • Por La Cultura is hosting Lotería (Bingo) & Taco Night this Thursday in the Common Room! Food will be served from 6:30–7:15 PM, followed by Lotería starting promptly at 7:15 PM. Spots for food are limited, so be sure to RSVP.

  • We made $223 at our fundraiser on Saturday at the baseball and softball games! Thank you to everyone who supported us!

  • We will be selling alcohol at Plazapoolza from 6-9pm on April 24th! Card/tap pay only. 21+ only.

  • We are working on planning Senior Day right now!
