Student Senate Meeting Minutes

President Garrett Rotzien called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

- Meeting with Collin from IT to get the golf simulator figured out.
- Pri is leaving at semester, so if you’re interested in being in her position next semester email me. If not, we will reach out to people who ran for positions and didn’t win.
Noah Lahner, Vice President of Financial Affairs
- Nothing to report.
Javier Rodriguez, Vice President of Campus Affairs
- The main results from the poll showed that students want the Yons Gate opened, a stairmaster for the RAC, and tennis/pickleball courts.
- Student comments also emphasized wanting access in/out of campus via the Yons road. They also want additional equipment in the weight room and were wondering where the golf simulator is.
- I have begun the discussion with Tim, along with Scott in regards to the issue of sharing the RAC with athletes
- I am working on a resolution to update the cardio room.
Zoe Fink, Vice President of Academic Affairs

Reese Heitzman, Vice President of Public Affairs
- Nothing to report.
Priyanka Satish, Vice President of Student Affairs
- SnowDaze is happening! It’s similar to First Five Weeks in the fall in that it offers daily events on campus, but SnowDaze runs during the first two weeks of the spring semester. Lots of events are planned to keep students engaged on campus and help everyone start the semester feeling connected.
Taryn Dornseif, Vice President of Media and Communications
- Please fill out the sweatshirt order if you have not already! We are hoping to get them ordered before we leave for break so that you can have them when we come back for the second semester!
- This Saturday at 3pm is the Rally for Riley hockey game. The student section theme is grey out to show our support for Riley and her fight against brain cancer. There will also be a station to make posters in the lobby!
