  • The benches are in front of Cardinal Coffee
  • Maintenance will be in charge of labor, which will not be charged to Senate. Senate is supporting the cost of fabrics.

Capital Improvement & Golf Simulation Details:

  • Capital Improvements:
    • As capital improvements, there is a look for new fabric for the benches at Cardinal Club
    • $200 per bench & 8 benches in total would get replaced
    • Maintenance staff would do all the labor for the benches, Student Senate would cover the fabric for the benches to get redone
    • 2 water bottle fillers are looking to be replaced in the fieldhouse
  • Golf Simulator:
    • We allocated the funds as a way to kick-start this project. Facilities is considering a spot in Joeseph’s for the simulator, and having card access to the room.
    • Installing a card access system is around $2,800.
    • They would like to have a club that wants to “run” this. I want to reach out to Myles and the students and see if there are people interested in spearheading a golf club that can use this space, maintain it, host events, and more.
    • There is a place in Winona called Island City Golf  Garage. It may be beneficial for the Senate to see if they offer any rates for us. We could see how many students would actually utilize the golf simulator. It could be like a trial run before we set up an entire place for this.
    • Also, there would be a yearly subscription for the golf simulator that would be continuously allocated by the Senate.
    • Nothing is set in stone. These are all just some things we need to consider if we want this to be effective and impactful for the students.
