Olivia (Liv) Meyer (Biology ‘22), along with Drs. Brett Bodsgard and Nathan Lien from the Chemistry Department and Dr. Moni Berg-Binder formerly of the Biology Department, recently published an article, “Unique chemical signatures across two wild bergamot (Monarda fistulosa) ecotypes: A common garden study” in the Tri-Beta journal, BIOS.  This article is an expansion of Liv’s thesis research project, the focus of which was the study of chemical signatures of different ecotypes of wild bergamot, also known as bee balm, a plant native to North America and commonly found in the Winona area.
