Saint Mary’s University recognizes outstanding students, faculty, and staff, who have exhibited outstanding leadership and service through co-curricular activities.

Awards include:

Brother Charlie Burke, FSC Award (presented to a faculty or staff member who has made significant contributions to the entire Student Life Department. This individual has promoted the growth of the whole student through their exemplary standard of ethical service, dedication to creating developmental relationships, and their desire to promote lifelong learning) — Shelly Schell, Associate Director of Career Services.

Brother Finbar McMullin, FSC Award (presented to a professional member of the Saint Mary’s University campus demonstrates him/herself to be an individual who unselfishly meets the needs of the undergraduate students) — Matt Klosky, Assistant Professor Business and Communication and Dr. Tricia Klosky, Associate Professor Psychology and Social Sciences.

Charlene “Char” Tjaden Outstanding Resident Assistant Award — Grace Hubbell, daughter of Chris and Julie, of Minneapolis, MN.

Student Service Award — Grace Howard, daughter of Michael and Sarah, of Eagan, MN.

Outstanding Student Senator of the Year — Isabelle Fortner, daughter of Mike and Jennifer, of Excelsior, MN.

Student Senate Executive of the Year — Joseph Schauf, son of John and Amber, of DeForest, WI.

Club and Organization Adviser of the Year — Sr. Agnes Mary Graves, Future Health Professionals Adviser

Club and Organization of the Year — Green Bandana

Cardinal Pride Award — Jordan Keeley, daughter of Jeff and Kim, of St. Peter, MN.

Student Athlete Champion Award — Brother Frank Carr, FSC.

Blessed James Miller, FSC Award (presented to a student who has dedicated their college experience to promoting the legacy of Blessed James Miller, spreading the compassion of God, and continually serving the community) — Clair Cardinal, daughter of Bob Cardinal of Maplewood, MN.

Saint Benilde Award (presented to a student who reaches out to new members of the university community, is inclusive and inspiring, and leads by being hospitable, open, and accepting) — Kelsey Fuerstenberg, daughter of Gary and Karen, of Willmont, MN.

Winona Community Service Award — Mackenzie Kelly, daughter of Gregg and Meghan, of Brookings, SD.
