Students planning to enroll in an internship for credit for spring semester will need to work with their faculty internship advisor and complete the Internship Registration process before the semester begins January 6.
Eligibility Requirements for an Internship for Credit
- Junior or Senior status
- 2.0 cumulative GPA and a 2.0 major GPA. [NOTE: Some departments require higher GPA’s to be eligible for an internship. Check with your department]
- At least 12 credits completed in your major.
Students may begin their internships after they have been approved and enrolled in their credit(s). The spring internship period runs from January 6 – April 25 and students must complete their internship hours during this timeframe.
Summer Internships for credit
Now is the time to begin looking for summer internships. Handshake has over 8,000 internship opportunities currently posted. Students planning to enroll in an internship for credit in the summer will need to complete the Internship Registration process before May 5, 2025.
