Snow Removal

We are in the heart of the winter months in Minnesota which means several days of snow falling throughout the season. With snowfall comes the need to plow the parking lots.

If leaving a vehicle on campus overnight while gone, the vehicle must be moved to the overflow lot next to the baseball field. This would include student-athletes traveling for away games and students leaving for a weekend. Any vehicles that are left in a visitor parking spot overnight during snow removal will be towed.

If there is a scheduled snow removal emergency, communication will be sent by Campus Safety with instructions on where to move vehicles while lots are plowed. Typically vehicles are moved from assigned lots to the overflow lot or Watters lot which is across the highway. Any vehicle left in a parking space during a snow removal emergency will be towed.

All vehicles are towed at the owner’s expense. The university is not responsible for any damage incurred if a vehicle is towed.
