SMUMN and Solar

This week’s Earth Month theme is energy. Hopefully you’ve heard that the University has solar panels on some campus buildings, but did you know that we also have subscriptions in multiple community solar gardens across southern and central Minnesota? Together, our rooftop solar and solar garden subscriptions meet 120% of the University’s peak electric demand! GeoSpatial Services is currently working on an ArcGIS StoryMap about SMUMN’s solar investments. While this is a work in progress, the StoryMap is currently available online for the campus community to preview. It will be live through Sunday before being taken back down for further development.
