Brooklyn Paulson, Ashley Streveler, Katelyn Cruze, and Izzy Goettelman of the SMU women’s basketball team, and Owen Ziegler of the Cardinals men’s team, earned College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District® honors, it was announced Tuesday.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Athletes must carry a 3.50 grade-point-average on a 4.0 scale, have appeared in 50 percent of the team’s contests, and made a significant impact on the field of competition to be eligible.
