CELT would also like to recognize Brian Sisson, Director of Athletics, for advancing the work of inclusion and human dignity in Saint Mary’s athletic programs.

Earners of this distinction attended the Diversity and Human Dignity workshop series, facilitated by Leon Dixon, Saint Mary’s vice president for inclusion and human dignity, and Carrie Wandler, interim director of CELT, in Fall of 2021. These workshops build on the tenets of Catholic social teaching and inclusive teaching practice, emphasizing how the human dignity of each student is recognized and honored both within and outside of our classrooms. Each earner completed a final project focused on ensuring that the principles of inclusive teaching and human dignity come alive in their work with students.

This series will be offered again in March 2022.

We invite all interested to register below and continue this important work at our institution.
