The university conducted a mandatory COVID-19 testing event for undergraduate students on the Winona Campus last week. The event was scheduled to determine the prevalence of COVID-19 among those students after the Thanksgiving holiday and then to implement any necessary mitigation measures if we saw increased transmission. We tested 831 students during that testing event. (Students who had tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 90 days were exempted from testing.) Student Affairs is following up with students who did not participate in the testing. We are pleased to report that we had only three positive results from that testing event. That number speaks highly of our students’ commitment to our COVID-19 protocols and to the university community.
