A reminder that the Saint Mary’s benefit silent auction and dance are this coming week and weekend! The silent auction is 3/31 and 4/1 from 8am to 4pm in the Hall of Fame Room. The dance is 4/2 from 7pm to 10pm in the Hall of Fame Room and Main Gym. PLEASE come out and help us support Curt Coshenet with his medical bills for his double lung transplant due to pulmonary fibrosis! He has so much for SMU and it is our turn to help him out!

Penny wars is also happening through Thursday 4/1 over lunch and dinner and those proceeds will go to Curt as well. The winning class gets a prize at the benefit dance!

Here is the link for ticket sales. Please let Caroline Cummings (cacumm17@smumn.edu) or Catie Schiltz (cfschi17@smumn.edu) know if you have any questions!

The Saint Mary’s Benefit, although continuing the tradition with a new name, will forever honor the event’s first recipient, Taylor Richmond, son of longtime Saint Mary’s employee, Niki Richmond. Taylor was born with the degenerative genetic disease ataxia telangiectasia, and students planned the first fundraiser in 2001 to fulfill his dreams of visiting Disney World. A meaningful tradition to the Saint Mary’s community, the dance has been held annually, only paused in 2021 because of the pandemic.
