Reminder: Lasallian Day of Service this Saturday October 28
As a member of the Saint Mary’s Alumni Board, and Chair of the Service Committee, I want to personally invite you to participate in Lasallian Day of Service this Saturday.
While the event is organized by the Saint Mary’s Alumni Board, any and all – including Saint Mary’s Faculty and Staff – are welcome to participate. LDOS is about walking in the “Service” aspect of our Lasallian charism. You can find a list of locations and opportunities on the Lasallian Day of Service webpage (registration closes Friday October 27).
Alternatively, if you are not able to participate on the 28th, please consider volunteering for an organization of your choice another day. Or, make an in-kind donation, such as food or clothing, to a local organization in need.
However you choose to participate, please share your service hours with the Alumni Office at alumni@smumn.edu. We will be counting the hours and measures of service to share the impact that the Saint Mary’s alumni and friends have on the communities in which we live and serve.
I go by the adage that I might be a tiny person (in the big picture of the world), but I can provide small and incremental contributions that make the world (for others) a bit better.
