Remember to Follow COVID Reporting Guidelines

To better help the university fulfill its requirements for internal and external COVID reporting and to assist employees affected by COVID, please remember to follow the university’s protocols if you test positive for COVID or present with symptoms consistent with COVID.

Specifically, notify your supervisor AND the human resources department immediately following a positive test result or confirmed exposure to COVID. An email to hr@smumn.edu, copying your supervisor, is the best way to do this. A phone call to the human resources department 507-457-1508 is an alternative.

Delays in reporting COVID status or exposure lead to delays in informing others affected by your status, which compromises others’ health and safety. Please be diligent in not only monitoring for symptoms but promptly reporting to human resources a positive COVID test or exposure to other COVID-positive individuals.
