Join us for the Spring Conference on Thursday, May 8th from 6 – 8 PM in the University Center. This gathering is a chance to build community and fellowship with faculty and staff across the university over food and refreshments. At the event, we will present the Saint John Baptist De La Salle Teaching award to a faculty member who has sustained excellence in teaching and contributed to Saint Mary’s by serving as a model of the Lasallian charism in the classroom.
We will also have presentations from the community on innovative teaching practices and exciting research, including:
  • “The Language of Virtue,” presented by Antar Salim, DBA
  • “Student Optimism and the Library,” presented by Matt Isaia, MLIS
  • “Gamify to Amplify: Adapting Teaching for a New Generation,” presented by Rachel Edgerton, DNAP and Carol Daniel, DNAP
  • “Flow in Education,” presented by Rustin Wolfe, PhD
The Character Education in the Age of Automation series of webinars will be launched at this event. This series approaches emerging technology from the insights of whole-person education and the practical wisdom of the Lasallian charism. The first workshop, Integrating Modern AI in the Holistic Classroom, will be on Saturday, May 10th from 10 – 11:30 AM.
