The summer Teaching and Learning series is an opportunity for our community of faculty and staff to engage and learn together and by association, with, for, and from one another.

This Summer T & L series is designed to present and model effective learner-sighted practices that can be utilized in all settings where you may lead people to come together to collaborate (classroom, boardroom, meetings, etc).  Joining this community of workshop attendees to explore together builds a greater sense of belonging and a classroom/workplace culture that values all voices.

RSVP now for Thursday evening’s first of four workshops.

Workshop 1:

During this virtual 90-minute workshop, we will ground our exploration in the Lasallian Virtues of gentleness, prudence, and humility and how these virtues open us up to all voices. Participants will consider the important elements of creating an environment for learning that establishes a sense of belonging, setting expectations for behavior and conflict resolution, being responsive to the needs of the learner while honoring their dignity as human beings.  The concept of voice will be addressed in how we as instructors elicit feedback from students that invite input and engagement.
