Tips for the visit:
- Listen carefully to the question asked. Ask for clarification if you are not clear what they are asking.
- Answer the question concisely.
- If you are attending virtually, you must turn on your camera and keep your microphone off until speaking. Use the “raise your hand” function or respectfully insert at an appropriate time.
- Please do not bring food into the room or eat on camera.
- Please shut your phone off and be present and attentive.
- Please do not bring a laptop to a meeting unless absolutely necessary. You absolutely may bring pen and paper or some notes to help you respond.
- Be friendly! Remember that they are working in higher education just like us and likely have similiar experiences.
- Be supportive of others in the room. They want to hear from multiple people, not just a few.
- It’s ok to not answer any questions, but your participation indicates that you are willing to do so, if there is something you know about or would like to share.
- If a room is full, join virtually.
- Be a little early. If possible, do not join a session late.
