Saint Mary’s will host a reaccreditation review team on October 26 & 27. In anticipation of that visit and conversations of the university community with those reviewers, the Reaccreditation Data Byte series offers information for the university community.
Did you know that the university has one “campus” according to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and the Department of Education (DOE). The Winona Campus is considered the university’s home campus and is the only official campus; the Minneapolis Campus and the Rochester Campus are considered “additional locations” to the HLC and the DOE because those campuses do not have their own budget and leadership structure, which is partly how “campus” is defined. This is why the HLC review team will do the on-site visit on the Winona Campus only; however, our SGPP and Minneapolis and Rochester campuses will be well represented during the visit, as a vital part of the university.
