The university submitted its Quality Initiative (QI) Report to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), its institutional accreditor, on May 8th. The QI Report details the progress of the institution on its selected improvement initiative (which is part of the HLC requirements for reaccreditation from years 7-9 of the 10-year cycle), with an overall purpose to advance data analytics at the university.
The university expects to receive a response to the report from HLC by early August. This initiative was largely accomplished by two key people, Kara Wener, Director of Data Analytics and Institutional Research, and Ryan Kenaga, Systems Analyst in Information Technology. Their knowledge, skill and commitment to this initiative was remarkable and is deserving of our gratitude. Their foundational work developing the data lake and creating initial enrollment and retention dashboards will open new possibilities for the future. New dashboards for recruitment, developed in partnership with enrollment management, will be launched soon, and planning to identify future projects is occurring this summer.
If you have any questions about the Quality Initiative or feedback on the report, please contact Tracy Lehnertz, AVP for Institutional Effectiveness.
