My name is Professor Price and I am the pre-law adviser for Saint Mary’s. I am reaching out to you to see if you might have an interest in the study of law or law related occupations. If so, I want to make you aware of some great opportunities this semester.
We have an official campus organization called the SMU Pre-law Society, and I want to personally invite you to join that. This year, I will be bringing in an attorney, Matt Smaron, who is an alum and will be talking about law school and law practice. I am also planning a social event with local attorneys and paralegals.
We are very fortunate this semester to also have Professor Roger Haydock from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law presenting a class in October on conflict resolution. I highly recommend this interesting class for those with an interest in law.
Finally, I am bringing back the Mock Trial after a one year hiatus. I am looking for students who would like to act as attorneys for the mock trial which will be on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 4:30 p.m. with a reception to follow.
