We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Carniya Houston, a valued member of our Saint Mary’s community and a dedicated first generation scholar. As we process this loss, let us come together in prayer for the repose of her soul and for those who love her.
A celebration of Carniya’s life will be held on Friday, August 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Brooks Funeral Home in Saint Paul, MN. If you need transportation, vans will be departing from Saint Mary’s at 8:45 a.m. We will follow up with an exact location for departure in the next few days.
As we approach the upcoming academic year, we will find meaningful ways to celebrate Carniya’s life. If you have ideas or would like to contribute memories, please feel free to reach out to Campus Ministry.
