Paul Christensen Appointed Senior Director of Curriculum and Instruction

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Paul R. Christensen, M.B.A., Ed.D., has been appointed Senior Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Saint Mary’s. In this role, Paul will oversee the Educational Technology, Learning Design, and Faculty Development teams, ensuring that Saint Mary’s remains at the forefront of innovative and student-centered educational practices. He will also serve as the key liaison with our online program manager, Risepoint, enhancing our partner programs in that space.

Dr. Christensen brings over two decades of experience with Saint Mary’s, where he has served in leadership roles such as Assistant Dean for Bachelor’s Completion Programs and Program Director for several business-related degrees.  His background in curriculum design, online program development, team leadership, and work with a variety of University committees and initiatives makes him an exceptional fit for this role. He has been instrumental in redesigning and transitioning several programs, including the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, into fully online formats—the first of their kind at Saint Mary’s.

I am confident that under Dr. Christensen’s stable leadership our staff in Academic Affairs will continue to innovate and expand, providing our students with the Lasallian Catholic education that he is so familiar with, whether on campus or online.
