The countdown is on. In exactly one week, the Saint Mary’s University athletics department will kick off its second annual Cardinal Challenge, the university’s digital-focused week of giving dedicated to supporting Cardinal student-athletes and teams.
Running Sept. 29 – Oct. 5, this year’s challenge is set to surpass the inaugural event.
Last year’s first-ever Cardinal Challenge made history, rallying over 1,500 donors and raising more than a quarter of a million dollars for Saint Mary’s athletics, all while recording the most donors of any Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) institution participating in a similar challenge.
This year, the Cardinals are ready to break that record, and the momentum is already building.
The friendly rivalry returns as friends of Cardinal Athletics challenge their friends and former teammates to match gifts for their favorite Saint Mary’s sports. For those who love a little competition, the Cardinal Challenge delivers.
Throughout the week of giving, a live leaderboard will display each sport’s donor count, keeping the race front and center as programs rally the most support.
