The Reaccreditation Steering Committee is pleased to announce that a Reaccreditation 2024-2026 webpage is now available to our university community (SMU username and password required). The webpage provides general information about the Higher Learning Commission, the institution’s accreditor, and the process required for reaccreditation, along with information specific to the process of self-evaluation being undertaken by the university.
All 44 members of the five reaccreditation committees met on Friday, January 17th for an all-day training retreat held on the Winona campus. Included were our two student participants, Hunter Panning, graduate student in our Ed.D. in Leadership program and Emma Stemper, undergraduate student at the College majoring in Biology. The committees are now “digging in” to respective criterion and federal compliance work and the first draft of documents is due to the Steering Committee in September.
