Saint Mary’s University recently signed an agreement with Zoom to be our new phone provider and starting after Thanksgiving, Zoom will not only be our video conference provider but we will also utilize their phone services.

When will this happen?

The switchover will occur on Wednesday November 23, 2022 (day before Thanksgiving) starting at 10:30am.

Will my current phone stop working?

Your phone will work up until 10:30 on Wednesday November 23. Moving the phone service from our current provider to Zoom is estimated to take about 30 minutes. After that, the Zoom softphone (software on your computer) will work. Your physical phone will not work until IT has had a chance to reprogram it which will occur sometime during the day on November 23rd.  When you come back from the Thanksgiving break, your physical phone will certainly be ready to go.

How do I know how to use the new phone?

Phone training is currently being scheduled and you will see more information on this soon. We will offer several virtual live meetings as well as a recorded option for training. In addition, we will share helpful hints and tricks through email as the transition gets closer.

What do I need to do?

At this time, nothing. Watch for more updates in the Saint Mary’s Today as we will be advertising the training as soon as it is scheduled. We will also share tips and tricks in future communications.
