In alignment with the University’s  Strategic Plan of developing innovative new programs, establishing new partnerships, and building enrollment, the Online Strategy and Programs team is excited to announce new high school partnerships for dual credit programs.  Joining Saint Mary’s current high school partners are Lourdes High School in Rochester, Hope Lutheran in Winona, Benilde-St. Margaret’s in St. Louis Park, and Holy Family in Victoria.

Benilde principal Stephanie Nitchals expressed her enthusiasm surrounding the new partnership in this way:

“We are so excited for this opportunity.  We want to give our students as many paths to explore as possible and this program certainly helps to do that.”

Dual credit programming at Saint Mary’s includes the Program for Advanced College Credit (PACC), Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO), and Catholic Virtual Academy (CVA).  With the introduction of new online course options, new flexibility is afforded to students in these programs.

In the coming year, the Online Strategy and Programs team will be working to align program operations, secure additional new high school partners, and provide innovative pathways for high school students to earn college credit while in high school, thereby saving them time and money towards their future postsecondary education pursuits. In fostering these relationships and exposing students to the college experience, Saint Mary’s will nurture future opportunities to welcome students to undergraduate programs in years to come.
