We are excited for our colleagues who will be participating in various mission formation programs this summer.

 

Buttimer Institute of Lasallian Studies held at Manhattan College (NY), June 25-July 8, 2023.

Jimmy Bickerstaff, Associate Professor, Fine and Performing Arts

Jimmy is entering the second year of his program.

Exploring Lasallian Mission (ELM) Program held at Lewis University (IL), June 5-8, 2023. This is a four day program focused on our Founder, Lasallian pedagogy and spirituality.

IALU – Rome Program is a two-week leadership program designed for Lasallian Universities. It is held at the Generalate of the Brothers of the Christian School in Rome, Italy, June 4-17, 2023

Jeanne Minnerath, Associate Professor, Biology

Institute for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging is a newer program to explore DEIB work within our Lasallian charism. It is held at Saint Mary’s College of California, July 9-14, 2023.

Ashley Sovereign, program director and core professor, Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology

John Johnston Institute of Contemporary Lasallian Practice is a two-year program that began last summer.

Michael Hahn, Assistant Dean of Education will complete his program in spring 2024.

Collegium: A Colloquy on Faith and Intellectual Life sponsored by the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) will be held at the University of Portland (OR), June 2-9, 2023.

Institute for Catholic Administrators in Higher Education

Four day seminar for leaders at Catholic universities to interact and discuss issues faced by Catholic higher education. This is an ACCU sponsored program held annually at Boston College (MA), July 17-20, 2023).

In addition to the summer programs, there were several opportunities for formation during the 2022-2023 academic year.

In November 2022, Jack McClure, interim Dean of the School of Education, attended the Heuther Conference held in Baltimore, MD.

The Lasallian Midwest Coaches Convention held at the Lasallian Retreat Center in Wildwood, MO occurred in February 2023. John Pucci, head men’s soccer coach, and Nick Rizzo, head women’s soccer coach, attended the convention.
